The interior of Residence A is designed by Soo K. Chan, a leading designer on projects around the world, and the art work in the common areas is supervised by the Mori Art Museum. In addition to preparing living spaces with a sense of spaciousness and openness, such as a living room with a two-story atrium and a residential unit with a pool, we will also provide hotel services in collaboration with Aman's new brand, Janu Tokyo, located on the lower floors of the residence.

The building utilizes high-strength steel materials and concrete and employs active vibration control equipment designed to reduce shaking during earthquakes, which together achieve a high level of earthquake resistance. Damping devices, which demonstrate an ability to dampen the building movement caused by a wide range of factors, from wind to large earthquakes, are arranged in well-balanced formation on each layer of the building. We are also working to reduce shaking caused by non-earthquake factors by installing a large vibration damping device called an active mass damper (AMD), which primarily targets wind sway, at the top of the building.
Security systems equipped with personal authentication checks have been adopted at entrances, elevators, etc. Furthermore, we have built a multi-layered security system, including a check on visitors at the Front Desk and a 24-hour central monitoring system using security sensors and surveillance cameras placed throughout the building.

Soo K. Chan │ SCDA Architects│ Singapore
Soo K. Chan is the founding principal and design director of SCDA Architects, a design studio headquartered in Singapore that seamlessly integrates architecture, interior architecture, and landscape and product design to create holistic spatial experiences. Chan obtained his Master of Architecture degree from Yale University. He is a professor in practice at National University of Singapore and has taught at several international architecture schools.
