Toranomon Hills Set to Open Next Month
May 28, 2014
Some time ago, I wrote on this blog about Mori Building's latest major development project, Toranomon Hills. The opening date for that building has been set for June 11, and progress is moving steadily forward to make sure everything is ready when the day arrives.
I recently passed by and saw workers planting trees around the base of the building, but the construction phase seems to have already been completed.
When the development opens next month, the first through fourth floors will be dedicated to retail space, including three floors of restaurants bordering a glass-covered atrium and ample green space. The culinary theme is "high-quality casual," and will include such options as Italian, Japanese and Chinese.
There will also be a branch of the popular Omotesando coffee shop Omotesando Koffee, which in this case will be named Toranomon Koffee.
In addition to restaurants, the building will also be home to the world's first SULA NYC day spa, managed by a popular Manhattan-based organic skincare brand. Other convenient services will include dental clinics, a shoe repair shop, a hair salon, a convenience store and a flower shop.
This impressive variety of tenants will no doubt be incredibly valuable to not only the building's office workers, but also to guests in the Andaz Tokyo, the Hyatt boutique lifestyle hotel that will occupy floors 47 to 52.
Toranomon Hills is extremely conveniently located, and I often pass by it on my way to Ginza or Marunouchi.
I look forward to stopping in for lunch, dinner or a cocktail to check out the building in person when in opens in June!
