Elegance Meets Comfort at Ruby Jack's
March 22, 2016
Ruby Jack's is a steakhouse and bar specializing in familiar yet imaginative favorites.
You can't go wrong with either the meat dishes such as the chargrilled grain-fed Black Angus ribeye steak, or the fish dishes.
The steak Caesar salad, a generously sized meal salad with a Romaine lettuce base, and other various dishes are available.
A couple years ago, I wrote about the opening of ARK Kitchen, a new food floor in the basement of ARK Hills South Tower that brought fresh dining and shopping options to the area. But shortly after, another restaurant also opened in the same building and it has since become a popular mainstay in Akasaka.
The interior design of Ruby Jack's is striking right from its large wooden doors to its high ceilings, large wine cellar, eye-catching artwork, and wall of floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto a spa-cious terrace space. But at its heart it is a steakhouse and bar, specializing in familiar yet imagina-tive favorites. And as elegant as the decor is, it is also very comfortable, with a laid-back atmos-phere that invites diners to enjoy long lunches and leisurely dinners.
Ruby Jack's has a varied menu, and everything is made with the freshest, most high-quality ingre-dients. The oysters are not to be missed, straight from the tank and prepared to order in a variety of ways. You also can't go wrong with the fish or meat dishes, from the daily teppan grilled Tsukiji fillet to the chargrilled grain-fed Black Angus ribeye steak. Some meats are even dry aged in house, and displayed in a glass meat locker. One of my favorite menu items is the steak Caesar salad, a generously sized meal salad with a Romaine lettuce base. There are also a variety of sandwiches, starters and sides. For those who save room, the desserts will also not disappoint!
If you're ever at ARK Hills or around Akasaka and looking for some good food in a classy but com-fortable atmosphere, I recommend trying out Ruby Jack's. It is equally suited to a weekend brunch with the family as it is to a romantic dinner and a business lunch.
