In a disaster, this system transforms an entire neighborhood into a safe space that offers shelter in a disaster instead of becoming a hazard.

Akasaka Tower Residence Top of the Hill has a robust frame that reduces swaying as much as a building with seismic isolation and resists breakage even in case of a large earthquake. It is also built with damping beams that absorb the seismic energy that could otherwise cause furniture to topple over.
Combined, these features allow the building to offer apartments with large windows and spacious interiors without sacrificing safety or earthquake resistance.

All 1,600 Mori Building employees belong to an emergency task force that in a disaster can be rapidly deployed for disaster-relief activities, even at night and on holidays. Twice every year, employees participate in a large-scale disaster drill so they can become even better equipped to protect the entire neighborhood covering Mori Building’s properties.
