ARK Hills Gets a New Restaurant Floor
April 16, 2018
There are famous restaurants where queues will surely be formed and restaurants expanding in Tokyo for the first time.

ARK Hills, Japan's first private sector large-scale multi-use redevelopment project, has reopened its newly renovated third floor restaurant floor as of the end of March, and it's worth checking out. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast, a spot for a working lunch, or a fun place for dinner with friends or colleagues, there's a little something for everyone. I checked out the floor during the recent press preview, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
The city creation concept of the ARK Hills Area is "Global Neighborhood". On the newly renovated restaurant floor, famous shops that can satisfy visitors with high quality cuisine representing this concept are gathered, from well-known shops where queues will surely form, to restaurants expanding in Tokyo for the first time. There's Thai food, spicy Chinese noodles, fresh chopped salads, deli bento boxes, and more. Inside the standouts include tempura and seafood donburi places from Tokyo's Nihombashi neighborhood, tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) originating from Ishikawa prefecture, and soups made from Hokkaido-produced vegetables and dairy products. There are so many of varieties of delicious Japanese cuisine that you really feel like you're tasting well-known food from various prefectures across Japan, all without ever leaving central Tokyo. In addition, it is possible to relax and enjoy your meals comfortably in the completely renewed floor space, which is particularly impressive, with its soft glowing lighting.
One restaurant I didn't get a chance to try was Tsujita, which offers Dan Dan Men. Those who were slurping down the soup from their counter seats said it lived up to its reputation as one of the best, so it's on my list to try next time!
