Shooting MORI LIVING's Artistic Promotional Photos

Forward Stroke Inc. photographer, Koji Okumura in the process of creating one of his works of originality and beauty.
Okumura-san carefully reviews all the photos on the computer to choose the best ones.
We are looking forward to the new Residences for Sale pamphlet, the exciting new addition to the MORI LIVING Series.
In addition to creating some of Tokyo's best luxury residences, MORI LIVING also produces beautiful pamphlets and booklets to highlight all of the great things about these properties.
Many of the photos used in these materials are the work of photographer Koji Okumura of Forward Stroke. I recently had the pleasure of sitting in on one of his photo sessions and watching him in action.
The shoot I attended was for photos that would be used on the cover of a pamphlet promoting MORI LIVING's residences for sale. Mr. Okumura took several shots at Hirakawacho Mori Tower Residence and ARK Hills Sengokuyama Residence, but they were not just standard photos of the apartments' interiors. Instead, Mr. Okumura chose scenes that most people would probably pass by without a second glance, and yet he crafted them into beautiful, unique compositions.
At Hirakawacho Mori Tower Residence, Mr. Okumura shot the corner of a wall near the building's entrance. The different angles of the dark gray stone formed a unique geometric image. Similarly, in the Sky Lounge of ARK Hills Sengokuyama Residence, Mr. Okumura spotted a place where perpendicular lines of glass came together in simple, peaceful harmony.
All of the photos were so beautiful that I'm sure it will be difficult to choose just one, but I look forward to seeing the finished pamphlet - I have no doubt it will be a work of art.
